Gainesville, Dec 27, 2009 – Urban Meyer is stepping down, the coach is leaving Florida Gators due to health issues according to reports. Meyer suffered a heart attack this year, posted in ClickOrlando.com. Dec. 5, 45-year-old Urban Meyer sent him to the hospital due to chest pains when Alabama beat Florida in the Southeastern Conference championship game.

Saturday, Meyer announced that he was stepping down after five seasons and two national titles. Meyer will coach his last game at the Sugar Bowl against Cincinnati Bengals on New Year’s Day.
