Marriot Marquis hotel in heart of Times Square, where a shooting incident took place in the hotel's passenger drop-off area.
New York, Dec 11, 2009 – Times Square: Marriott Marquis shooting happened Thursday after plainclothes police sergeant traded gunfire with 25-year-old Raymond Martinez, Martinez was shot to death.
Martinez an extra ordinary peddler who was carrying a loaded pistol pushing shoppers to buy his CDs in Times Square which led to investigating the sale of counterfeit CD’s but suspect had fled before investigation happened.
The shooting took place in the heart of Times Square, Broadway theater district (The Marquis Theatre) where “White Christmas” is playing. The shoot-out shattered the window of the Broadway Baby gift shop and window of the box office on the street.
However, hours after the shooting incident, place had returned to the normal holiday bustle.
