Los Angeles, November 25, 2009 – Skifree download, Skifree game, Skifree online: It’s a computer game created by former programmer at Microsoft named Chris Pirih which the object of the game is to ski down an endless slope and avoid the obstacles.
SkiFree was created in C on Pirih home computer for his own education and entertainment. Skifree eventually attracted the attention of Microsoft Entertainment Pack program manager when he noticed Pirih playing, then develop the game in the next Entertainment Pack release with Pirih’s consent.
Skifree was featured in the Best of Windows Entertainment Pack but made available as a ported version for Macintosh. The game was also one of 7 games included in The Best of Entertainment Pack released for 2001 Game Boy Color.
Pirih started work on a second version of the game in 1993, but the original source code was lost then the game was left for other projects.
Pirih announced the rediscovery of Skifree game’s source code on April 4, 2005 and created a new 32-bit version of SkiFree available on his official SkiFree website.
